What to expect

You'll board early and motor out to the reef sites where your guide enters the water with your group to point out coral formations, fish behaviour and reef ecology as you snorkel. The small group size means you're not jostling with dozens of others. Between sites, there's time to rest on deck, dry off and refuel with lunch. The guides are genuinely knowledgeable marine researchers rather than tour handlers, so questions get proper answers. Expect a moderate pace—you're swimming and observing, not racing.

Good to know

Bring a reusable water bottle for refills. Not suitable if you have spinal injuries, are pregnant, or have significant heart concerns. Suitable for all fitness levels otherwise. Notify ABC directly 24 hours ahead for dietary requirements. Public transport to Port Douglas is available.
