What to expect
Your guide picks you up in Marseille and drives you inland first to Aix-en-Provence, where you'll walk amongst belle époque architecture and baroque fountains. After exploring at your own speed, you'll head south towards Cassis, a working port town far smaller and quieter than Marseille. The seafront is lined with restaurants and cafés; the harbour itself is picture-postcard. From there, the drive back includes coastal stretches with views toward the Massif de la Sainte-Victoire. The pace is yours—this isn't a rushed tick-box tour.
Good to know
Bring water and snacks; lunch isn't included. Wear comfortable shoes for old-town wandering. Prams and infant seats are available. The vehicle is air-conditioned but Provençal sun is strong in summer—hat and sunscreen wise.
