Paddle through Bali's lush jungle on the Ayung River for two hours of white-water rafting, departing Ubud at 8:30 am for a full five-hour outing. Your guides navigate grade II–III rapids whilst sharing knowledge of the river's ecology and wildlife. Between stretches you'll spot cascading waterfalls, take a dip in cool pools, and soak in towering rainforest walls from your vantage point on the water. The day wraps with time to relax at the riverside restaurant overlooking the valley.

What to expect

You'll be collected from your accommodation at 8:30 am and driven north to the launch point. After a brief safety briefing, you'll board a raft with your guide and paddle downstream, working through a series of manageable whitewater sections. The river winds through dense tropical growth; expect to see birds, monitor lizards, and occasional monkeys on the banks. Midway through, you'll beach the raft near a waterfall where you can wade and swim in the pool. The final hour is a gentler float downriver. Once ashore, you'll head to the restaurant for a well-earned rest and meal before returning to town.

Good to know

Not suitable if you have spinal injuries, are pregnant, or have cardiovascular concerns. All fitness levels welcome otherwise. Wear trainers with grip; bring a dry bag for valuables. The river is seasonal; best conditions are May to October. Personal expenses aren't covered.
