What to expect
You'll start with hotel pickup, then travel east towards Sidemen and the Telaga Waja River. Once geared up with safety kit, expect 2–3 hours navigating Class II–III rapids, paddling through forested valley walls and past traditional settlements. The pace is brisk but achievable for moderate fitness levels. After rafting, you'll shower and change, then rejoin your guide for a slower exploration of nearby villages, local markets, or cultural sites in the Karangasem lowlands—whatever suits your energy and interests. All done by late afternoon.
Good to know
Not suitable if pregnant, have spinal issues, or poor heart health. Moderate fitness required. Insurance covers rafting activity. Transport is private but temple visits (Lempuyang, Tirta Gangga) aren't included—book separately if keen. Extend your time for USD 5/hour or venture to Lovina or Amed for a flat USD 30 surcharge.
