What to expect

You'll be picked up and driven to the Telaga Waja put-in, where guides fit you with life jackets and helmets. The paddle lasts roughly 2.5 hours, moving through a mix of faster sections and calmer stretches where you can absorb the rainforest around you. A waterfall section punctuates the run. Afterwards, you'll be driven to Besakih temple for a guided walk through one of Bali's most sacred compounds, learning about its role in local Hindu practice. Lunch is served between activities. Expect to be damp and tired but energised.
