Your guide navigates you past emerald banks and natural rock formations whilst pointing out riverside wildlife and water systems. What to expect
You'll meet your guide early morning and travel by air-conditioned van to the Ayung River put-in. After a safety briefing and equipment check, you'll climb into an inflatable tube and push off. The river meanders through steep jungle banks, dropping through small rapids and over smooth rock slides. Your guide floats nearby, calling stops at deeper pools where you can swim or jump from low ledges. Expect to get thoroughly wet and muddy. Mid-way through, you'll pull ashore for a riverside lunch before continuing downstream to the takeout point.
Good to know
Bring a waterproof bag for valuables and a change of clothes. The river runs year-round but swells after heavy rain, making rapids faster. Not suitable for anyone with spine, heart, or pregnancy concerns. Arrive with decent fitness; tubing requires arm strength to stay balanced.
