About this tour

Walk the seafloor in Bali without needing dive certification or prior experience. You'll descend in a weighted helmet, breathing normally whilst your guide leads you through shallow reefs teeming with tropical fish and coral. The one-hour session feels like scuba diving stripped back to basics—all the wonder, none of the training. Your instructor stays by your side the entire time, ensuring safety and pointing out the marine life around you.

Highlights

  • Breathe naturally underwater without certification required
  • Spot tropical reef fish and coral formations up close
  • Weighted helmet keeps you stable on the seafloor
  • Instructor accompanies you throughout the walk
  • All safety gear and equipment provided

What to expect

You'll be fitted with a weighted helmet and led into shallow water by your guide. As you descend, water pressure equalises and you'll find yourself walking on the seafloor, breathing as you normally would on land. The helmet's air supply comes from the surface. You'll spend roughly an hour exploring the reef, observing fish behaviour and coral structures from an unusual vantage point. It's calmer and more meditative than scuba diving—no buoyancy control needed, just steady steps and observation.

Good to know

Not suitable if you have spinal injuries, are pregnant, or have heart conditions. Works for all fitness levels otherwise. Bring your own underwater camera if you want photos; the operator doesn't include photography services or hotel transport.
