What to expect

You'll start from a meeting point and head out on a handcrafted wooden boat to Blue Lagoon first. The water here sits shallow and calm—perfect for getting your bearings with the guide before exploring the reef. Expect to see small schools of colourful fish moving through branching corals, plus the occasional turtle gliding past. After an hour or so, you'll return to the boat, rinse off, and motor across to Tanjung Jepun Beach for your second stint. This site holds slightly more dramatic life: reef sharks cruise the deeper sections, though they're typically unbothered by snorkellers. Two hours total in water gives you time to relax into it rather than rush.

Good to know

Bring sun protection and a rash guard if you burn easily; reef cuts sting. The guide will brief you on hand signals before entering water. Public transport reaches the departure point.
