What to expect

Expect a thorough safety briefing before you launch. You'll be in a small group, paddling in tandem with others and your guide steering from the back. The rapids range from gentle to moderately challenging—nothing extreme, but you need decent fitness and core strength to keep your paddle steady. The scenery shifts constantly: you're in a river gorge one minute, passing rice terraces the next. Water will splash over the sides regularly, so embrace getting soaked. Once you land, there's a proper shower block with hot water, lockers, and toiletries. Lunch is served buffet-style afterwards.

Good to know

Not suitable if you have spinal injuries, are pregnant, or have poor cardiovascular health. Bring water shoes or sandals that strap on. Your hotel pickup time depends on which area you're staying in—book early to confirm. Insurance is included. Public transport to the rafting point is possible if you're not taking the transfer option.
