What to expect
You'll be picked up early and driven to Tegenungan first, where the waterfall's scale and spray hit immediately—best viewed from the platform or up close if you're keen to wade. Then it's into denser bush towards Kanto Lampo; expect a short walk and a swim in cool water surrounded by layered stone. Tibumana requires a bit more hiking through lush growth, but rewards you with near-silence and a proper plunge pool. By midday you'll reach Tegalalang's famous rice terraces—genuinely striking from above, lined with paths for photos and wandering. The drive back gives you time to rest.
Good to know
Bring swimmers and a towel for all three waterfalls. Wear sturdy shoes for jungle paths; some sections are slippery after rain. Lunch isn't included—eat in Ubud beforehand or at a warung near Tegalalang. Not suitable if you have spinal issues, are pregnant, or have heart concerns. Dehydration is real; bottled water's supplied but bring extra.
