What to expect

You'll be collected early morning and driven in air-conditioned comfort to Blue Lagoon on Bali's north coast. The water is sheltered, warm, and visibility usually exceeds 15 metres. Your guide will brief you on technique, then lead you out to the reef edge where most of the action happens. Expect dense coral gardens in the shallows and deeper walls where larger pelagics cruise past. Lunch — rice dishes, fruit, and drinks — happens on the boat mid-morning. You'll spend roughly three to four hours in the water across two or three separate swims, with rest periods between.

Good to know

Bring reef-safe sunscreen and a rash guard if you burn easily. The boat rocks gently but rarely troubles people; take seasickness tablets beforehand if prone. Spinal injuries, pregnancy, and heart conditions need medical clearance. Prams and infant seats are available for young children.
