What to expect
After a van ride south from Barcelona, you'll launch kayaks from a quiet beach and spend roughly three hours paddling between craggy headlands. Your guide will point out caves and rock formations whilst you navigate at an easy pace—there's time to stop for snorkelling swims and simply float if you prefer. The cliff jumps (optional) happen at a sheltered spot with the safety boat standing by. Midway through, you'll beach the kayaks for a breather, then continue exploring before returning to shore around lunchtime for a fresh sandwich. The afternoon is yours to relax, swim again, or grab a drink at the beach bar before the return journey.
Good to know
You must be a confident swimmer—non-swimmers cannot kayak and forfeit fees. Arrive in swimwear under your clothes to save time changing; public toilets are cramped and queued. Bring plenty of water and eat a solid breakfast; lunch comes late. Towels and fins aren't provided. Not suitable if pregnant, unfit cardiovascularly, or recovering from shoulder/back injury.
