What to expect

You'll depart various Barcelona pickup points between 6:15–6:45am, arriving at the abbey while it's still quiet. Spend the first part of your morning inside the monastery, viewing the Black Madonna without fighting crowds, then have roughly an hour to yourself—grab breakfast in the café or linger longer if you prefer. At 9:20am, the van shuttles you to the trailhead. Both hikes stay on unpaved forest paths; the shorter route is gentler, the longer one steeper but still manageable for anyone with moderate fitness. Expect woodland scenery and very few other hikers. Depart at 12:40pm for the drive back, landing in Barcelona around 1:30pm.
