Depending on the season, there's opportunity to jump overboard for a swim, test your footing on floating inflatables, or wade ashore on Fraser Island's beach. Light refreshments and hot drinks are included.

What to expect
You'll board a compact passenger vessel in Hervey Bay and head out into the strait, scanning the water for dolphins. The guide will identify species and explain their behaviour as sightings occur—expect to see them, though they remain wild animals with unpredictable patterns. In warmer months, you'll have the chance to enter the water: either via the AquaMat (an inflatable raft) to test your balance, or by swimming direct from the boat. A beach landing on Fraser Island gives you time to stretch your legs on the sand. The voyage takes in both open water and shallower coastal passages.
Good to know
Bring sunscreen and a hat; the sun reflects off water intensely. Wear swimmers under your clothes if you plan to swim. The boat operates year-round but water activities depend on temperature and conditions. National Park entry is covered in the price.
