What to expect
Your guide collects you and drives into the Beaujolais hills. At each of the two wineries—small operations run by locals—you'll taste their current releases and hear how they work the land. Between stops, the landscape does the talking: terracotta roofs, stone walls, vines climbing slopes. Around midday you'll park up somewhere scenic and unpack lunch: proper cheese, cured meats, bread, the wines you've just tasted. Afternoon brings a stroll through one or two of the golden villages, where narrow lanes wind between sixteenth-century houses. No heavy walking; mostly browsing at village pace.
