What to expect
You'll board a public fastboat early morning for the crossing to Nusa Penida, then move between four snorkelling spots by vehicle. Each site offers 45–60 minutes in the water with a guide. Visibility runs 10–25 metres depending on conditions. Manta encounters aren't guaranteed but happen regularly in season. The reef fish are plentiful everywhere; turtles less frequent. Between sites you'll rest, eat lunch ashore, and rinse off. The pace is steady but unhurried. Expect fellow travellers at popular spots.
Good to know
