About this tour
Spend eight hours tearing through Ubud's backcountry on a quad bike, then float downriver on an inner tube through jungle-lined channels. Your private guide navigates you across muddy tracks, past rice paddies and village settlements, before lunch and the tubing section through cave-fed waterways south of town. You'll handle the bike yourself—no experience needed—but expect to get properly dirty and wet.
Highlights
- Quad bike ride through mud, valleys, forests, and rice terraces
- Tubing descent on cave river with dramatic jungle surrounds
- Private guide and dedicated transport throughout
- Lunch and hot beverages included
- All protective gear and equipment provided
What to expect
The ATV portion takes you off-road across challenging terrain where you'll steer your own machine through villages and farmland. Bring confidence and a willingness to slide around in mud. After a midday break with food and drink, you'll trade the bike for an inflatable tube and float downstream through shaded cave passages, the water cold and refreshing. The tubing section is less strenuous but requires comfort in water and basic swimming ability. Total time in saddle and on water runs four to five hours; the remainder covers transport, breaks, and lunch.
Good to know
Moderate fitness essential—quad riding and tubing demand core strength and balance. Unsuitable if pregnant, with spinal issues, or poor cardiovascular health. Wear quick-dry clothes and secure sunscreen and valuables. The water is cold year-round. Helmet and safety gear mandatory.
