About this tour
Spend a full day on Bali's basalt cliffs with Rama, a seasoned climber who's belayed at international competitions. You'll tackle routes suited to your level—top rope if you're starting out, lead climbing if you're ready to push harder—with views across Mount Batur Caldera as your backdrop. Learn proper technique for clipping, anchoring, belaying and rappelling, then come back down without abandoned gear. Transport, kit, lunch and fruit included.

What to expect
You'll start with a drive to the climbing area, then Rama will assess your level and set you on appropriate routes. Beginners work top rope lines to build anchoring skills and movement confidence; more advanced climbers progress to lead climbing where you clip into quickdraws as you ascend. Expect hands-on instruction on safety systems—how to belay a partner, set anchors properly, and descend efficiently. Between pitches there's time to recover, eat lunch and take in the caldera views. The day finishes with a return drive to your accommodation.
Good to know
Moderate fitness required; spinal injuries, pregnancy and cardiovascular conditions aren't suitable for this trip. Service animals welcome. The optional hot spring entry and lunch are already factored in, though bring extra cash if you want souvenirs. Wear climbing shoes or trainers with good grip.
