What to expect
You'll work at your own pace in a professional studio alongside the instructor and fellow participants. After a brief introduction to clay properties and hand-building methods, you'll shape a piece—pinch pots, coils, or slabs depending on your interest. The instructor demonstrates and circulates to offer pointers. Mid-session, the kiln fires your work. You'll then explore glazing colours and decoration techniques, applying finishes to either your piece or a demonstration sample. The studio provides all tools and clay; expect to get genuinely dirty and leave with wet hands.
