About this tour
Spend ten hours exploring two of Bali's most photographed landscapes. Start at Jatiluwih, where emerald rice terraces cascade down volcanic slopes in dramatically geometric patterns. Later, position yourself at Tanah Lot Temple as the sun descends toward the Indian Ocean, casting the clifftop sanctuary in silhouette. A private driver handles the routes whilst you soak in the views. Entrance fees and meals are separate.
Highlights
- Jatiluwih's stacked rice paddies stretch to mountain horizons

What to expect
You'll leave your accommodation mid-morning and drive to Jatiluwih, arriving mid-morning. The terraces fan out below you in every direction—wander the paths between paddies, spot farmers at work, and frame shots as the sun climbs higher. Lunch is your own choice; many stop at a café overlooking the fields. By early afternoon, you'll head toward Tanah Lot, arriving an hour or two before sunset. The temple sits on a rocky outcrop; you can explore the shoreline and surrounding clifftops whilst waiting for the light to turn golden, then amber, then deep orange. The drive back to your hotel takes roughly ninety minutes after dusk.
Good to know
Book entrance tickets online beforehand to skip queues. Wear sunscreen and a hat—shade is sparse at both sites. Comfortable walking shoes essential; paths are uneven. The tour suits varied fitness levels but is unsuitable for pregnant travellers, those with spinal injuries, or cardiovascular concerns.
