What to expect

You'll meet at the new port base and be fitted with a sea kayak, then paddle out along the rugged coastline for three hours. The guide leads at a steady pace, stopping to point out geological features, seabirds, and coastal plants. Expect moderate paddling effort—nothing technical, but you need to be comfortable with basic stroke technique and spending sustained time on water. The coves are generally sheltered, though conditions vary seasonally. Photos are taken during the outing so you'll have shots of yourself in action.

Bring water shoes (mandatory) and sun protection—hat, sunscreen, and sunglasses not provided. Pack drinking water. Parking costs extra and is paid on arrival. A waterproof case for valuables is available to buy. Not suitable if you have spinal injuries, are pregnant, have cardiovascular concerns, or weigh over 120kg.
