What to expect

You'll spend most of the day moving between water and woodland, swimming in cool pools and walking short trails through scrub and forest. The pace is leisurely rather than rushed; your guide controls the timing so you're not chasing schedules. Expect to get wet multiple times and to have stretches of downtime between sites—bring a book or chat with other travellers. Tolmer Falls and Berry Springs appear only during wetter months, so check conditions ahead. The minivan or coach journey itself gives you a feel for the landscape and settlements outside Darwin.

Bring your own lunch or buy from local shops along the way; fruit and snacks are provided. Swimming fitness matters more than general fitness—if you have heart concerns, flag it beforehand. Prams work for infants; older children sit on laps or in regular seats. Pickup can finish at Mindil Beach Markets if requested.
