What to expect
Pick-up at 06:30 from your hotel, then a 45-minute drive to Sanur Beach where you'll board a speedboat for the crossing to Nusa Penida. Three separate snorkelling sessions follow—mask, fins and life jacket supplied. Expect calm to moderate water conditions and schools of reef fish; manta rays are seasonal. After snorkelling concludes mid-morning, you'll lunch at a set restaurant, then visit three land-based spots: a towering cliff amphitheatre at Kelingking, a cavernous beach hollow at Broken Beach, and a rock-pool vantage point at Angel's Billabong. The boat ride back is rougher than the morning; return to your hotel by late afternoon.
Good to know
Not suitable if you have spinal issues, are pregnant, or have weak cardiovascular health. Minimum age 5, maximum 60. Bring sunscreen, camera and a spare set of clothes.
