A three-hour cooking class in Montecatini Alto where you'll learn to make carbonara and tiramisù alongside a chef who walks you through the history and technique of each dish. The experience kicks off with a welcome drink and Tuscan appetisers paired with local wine, moves into the kitchen for hands-on preparation of both classics using regional ingredients, then concludes with tasting your own work—carbonara with sparkling wine and dessert with Vinsanto.

What to expect

You'll arrive for a welcome drink and meet your guide, who introduces you to the stories behind two foundational Italian dishes. A Tuscan platter and glass of wine follow, giving context to the territory's food and drink traditions. Then you'll tie on an apron. Working alongside the chef, you'll build each dish from scratch—rolling your sleeves up for carbonara's tricky emulsion technique, then layering the components of tiramisù or an alternative like cheesecake. No prior cooking experience needed; the chef demonstrates each step and adjusts the pace to the group. You'll finish at a shared table, tasting your carbonara with sparkling wine, followed by your dessert with Vinsanto. Coffee and water are on hand throughout.
