What to expect
You'll board at Newport Marina early morning and head out to Moreton Island. The guided snorkel leg takes you through the Tangalooma wrecks—submerged ships now thriving with fish and invertebrates—where you'll spend roughly an hour underwater. Afterwards, the boat cruises the coastline whilst crew point out passing marine megafauna and explain their habits. You'll have dedicated time on the beach to swim or rest. Throughout, hot drinks and meals keep energy up. The pace is deliberate rather than rushed, balancing activity with downtime.
Good to know
Swimmers aged 6+ can join the guided snorkel; non-swimmers stay aboard. Complete a health questionnaire before entering water—asthma, cardiac conditions and some other ailments may disqualify you. Bring sunscreen, hat and a towel. Public transport serves the marina; transfers aren't included. Small children can travel in prams.
