What to expect
Meet your driver at your hotel lobby pre-dawn (time depends on your booking). The hike takes 1.5–2 hours uphill on uneven volcanic trails; bring a torch and wear sturdy shoes. You'll climb steadily but at a manageable pace suitable for moderate fitness. Sunrise arrives shortly after you summit, followed by a cooked breakfast and 30 minutes of crater views.
