About this tour
Start before dawn for a guided climb up Mount Batur, catching the sunrise from the crater rim. This seven-hour outing includes hotel pickup, two breakfasts (one at base camp, one at the summit), and time to soak in natural hot springs afterwards. You'll trek roughly two hours each way on a moderately steep route with a local guide, finishing with a return drive to your hotel.
Highlights
- Pre-dawn climb to summit for sunrise views over Bali
- Two breakfasts: base camp and mountain-top
- Natural hot spring soak to ease tired legs
- Door-to-door hotel transfer, earliest pickup 1 am
- Torch-lit path, local guide, modest group size
- Roughly 1.5–2 hours up, same descent time
What to expect
You'll be collected between 1 and 2.30 am depending on your hotel's distance (30 mins to 1.5 hours away). After arrival at base camp, eat a light breakfast before starting the uphill walk in darkness with a torch. The path is steep but not technical; expect loose volcanic rock underfoot. You'll reach the rim as light breaks, rest and refuel with summit breakfast, then descend. The return journey is gentler on legs but requires care on loose terrain. Finish with a relaxing soak in warm natural springs before heading back to your hotel around mid-morning.
Good to know
