What to expect

Day one involves a full drive through Normandy's countryside, stopping at Rouen's cathedral quarter before reaching the coastal charm of Honfleur. The afternoon focuses on WWII history: you'll visit preserved sections of the landing beaches and spend time at the solemn American Cemetery overlooking the coast. After checking into your Caen hotel, dinner is provided. Day two takes you east to Saint-Malo, where you can walk the ramparts of this corsair fortress. Pack one bag maximum. The Mont St-Michel Abbey climb involves many steps and isn't suitable for those with walking difficulties or poor fitness. Lunches aren't included; budget accordingly. No toilets or Wi-Fi on the coach. Single rooms incur a €36 supplement; request twin beds at booking if needed.
