What to expect
Your driver collects you in the morning and takes you first to the Bird Park, where you'll spend around two hours wandering through enclosures and observation areas. After lunch (your choice of venue), you'll head to Ubud Palace to see traditional Balinese architecture and courtyards, followed by the adjacent market—a working marketplace rather than a tourist souvenir stall, with fresh produce, textiles and household goods. The final stop is Tegalalang, where you can walk amongst the rice terraces, take photos, and grab refreshments at local warungs. Depending on traffic, you'll be back by early evening.
Good to know
Wear comfortable shoes for walking and bring sun protection. The Bird Park is relatively flat; rice terrace paths are uneven. Infants sit on laps in the vehicle. Pack a light jacket for air-conditioned car. Lunch isn't included—plan stops in Ubud.
