About this tour

Pedal through vineyard-lined roads on a restored Solex motorised bicycle, then taste organic wines at Domaine des Favards. This 2.5-hour outing pairs the nostalgic thrill of France's iconic 1960s machine with a winemaker's tasting in the heart of wine country. Your guide Clément handles the route whilst the proprietor welcomes you for a sit-down sampling of their biodynamic production.

Highlights

  • Ride a restored Solex through working vineyard terrain
  • Learn regional wine production from the winemaker directly
  • Sample organic wines at the estate cellar
  • Small group maximum six people for intimate pacing
  • Helmet, gloves and machine all provided

What to expect

You'll meet your guide and be fitted with safety gear before mounting your Solex—a lightweight pedal-assisted bike that's part moped, part bicycle. The 2.5-hour ride follows quiet vineyard roads with Clément setting the pace. Expect gentle hills, gravel tracks and village lanes rather than highways. Back at the estate, the winemaker walks you through their current range, explaining terroir and production methods. Tastings happen seated on the property with time to chat and ask questions.

Good to know
