About this tour

A 10-hour loop through Western Australia's wildest corners, starting north of Perth. You'll track native wildlife at Yanchep, walk amongst thousands of weathered limestone spires in Nambung National Park, grab lunch overlooking the Indian Ocean near Cervantes, then tear across the massive sand dunes at Lancelin. Small groups (max 12) travel by air-conditioned vehicle with a local guide who knows where the animals hide and which dunes shift fastest. Best in wildflower season when the scrub explodes with colour.

Highlights

  • Hand-feed kangaroos and wallabies at Yanchep National Park
  • Walk amongst thousands of limestone pillars, Pinnacles Desert
  • Fish and chips lunch with sea views, Cervantes
  • Climb and slide down massive sand dunes at Lancelin
  • Wildflowers blanket the region (winter–spring peak)
  • Local guide shares stories en route, not scripted commentary
  • Hotel pickups from Perth, Fremantle, Cottesloe, Scarborough

What to expect

You'll leave Perth early and head north. First stop is Yanchep, where you wander through bushland spotting roos, wallabies, and birdlife in their space. Then it's the Pinnacles—thousands of pale limestone towers poking from golden sand, otherworldly and worth every photo. Lunch is casual by the coast near Cervantes (fish and chips, steak sanger, or vegan burger). The final leg takes you to Lancelin's massive dunes. Some people run down them, some walk gingerly. The drive home gives you time to decompress. Wildflower season (roughly June–October) transforms the whole route into a colour show.

Good to know

Bring hat, sunscreen, and sturdy shoes for sand dunes. The tour suits all fitness levels, though dune climbing is optional. Sandboard hire at Lancelin costs extra. Water's supplied on the bus. Lunch upgrades (like lobster) are available for a fee. Hotels in central Perth, Fremantle, and beachside suburbs are covered.
