What to expect

Your driver picks you up and navigates a leisurely route south, stopping at villages en route where you can wander at your own pace. Late afternoon arrives at Uluwatu Temple, a working Hindu sanctuary with sweeping ocean vistas. As light fades, you'll settle in for the Kecak performance—a hypnotic male chorus chanting in unison—followed by the Fire Dance, where performers juggle flaming torches. Expect crowds at the temple and performance, particularly peak season. The drive back to your starting point takes several hours after the show finishes.
