What to expect
You'll board at Port Canto and cruise toward the islands as afternoon light mellows. Once anchored in a protected bay, you're free to slip overboard for a snorkel—Mediterranean fish and seagrass beds are visible in the shallows—or paddle out on the board. As the sun descends, the water temperature remains pleasant and the anchorage stays calm. Between 10:00 and 10:30 PM on festival nights, fireworks burst overhead; on other evenings, you'll simply watch the stars emerge. Pack a camera; the interplay of light on water and distant coastline is the real show.
