About this tour
A four-hour private tour through the Dordogne's most photogenic corners, starting from Sarlat or Les Eyzies. You'll explore Beynac Castle (or Castelnaud in winter), the clifftop village of La Roque Gageac clinging to the riverbanks, then climb to Domme for sweeping valley views. The route finishes in the medieval village of Montfort, where a 12th-century romanesque church sits atop ancient Celtic foundations. Your guide provides running commentary throughout.

What to expect
You'll be collected from Sarlat (1:30pm) or Les Eyzies (1:10pm) and driven to Beynac Castle for a guided walk through its rooms and ramparts. Next, the scenic drive takes you to La Roque Gageac, where you'll stroll the narrow streets wedged between river and rock face. From there, it's uphill to Domme—the views repay the climb. You'll have time to wander the village before heading to Montfort for your final stop, visiting the church and absorbing the medieval layout before returning to Sarlat.
Good to know
Beynac closes mid-January to mid-February (Castelnaud substitutes instead). The tour isn't suitable for those with mobility issues. Infant seats available. Pickup from locations outside Sarlat or Les Eyzies incurs extra charges.
