About this tour
Walk along the seafloor in a pressurised helmet fed air from a surface boat, seeing fish and rock formations at close range without needing diving certification. Based exclusively in Lanzarote, this 90-minute experience uses Sub Sea Systems' helmet-diving technology to let you explore the underwater landscape on foot. No scuba training required—just the ability to breathe normally.
Highlights
- Walk on the seabed with air supplied continuously from above
- Panoramic vision helmet keeps eyes and face dry throughout
- Spot local fish, rays and seabed life up close
- No diving qualifications or experience needed
- Suitable from age 8 upwards
What to expect
You'll be fitted with a weighted helmet, wetsuit and shoes before boarding a small support boat. Once in shallow water, the helmet is lowered onto your shoulders and secured. Air feeds down through hoses from the boat above. You walk across the sandy or rocky bottom for roughly an hour, moving at your own pace and pausing to observe marine life. The sensation is surprisingly calm—gravity feels lighter underwater, and visibility through the panoramic glass is clear. You remain tethered and in radio contact with the crew throughout.
Good to know
Not suitable if pregnant or with heart conditions. Wetsuit and equipment provided. Public transport reaches the launch site. No underwater photography included; consider purchasing video afterwards if available.
