What to expect

You'll meet your guide at Pemuteran harbour early morning, board a shared speedboat and motor across to Menjangan Island (roughly 20 minutes). The guide will position you over the best snorkel sites—expect warm water, easy swimming, and constant fish movement around you. Most spots sit in 3–8 metres, so no diving skills needed. After two to three hours in the water, you'll return to the boat for your packed lunch. The full outing takes about four hours door-to-door.

Good to know

Bring sunscreen and a rash vest to protect against UV. Not suitable if you have back issues, are pregnant, or have heart concerns. Public transport reaches Pemuteran if you're not staying locally. Towel and drinking water provided.
