What to expect

You'll be collected from your hotel early and driven through Ubud's artistic neighbourhoods, pausing for the dance performance and forest walk where monkeys move through canopy and ground level. Mid-morning takes you to a coffee farm where you'll learn about production methods. The afternoon drive south includes rice terrace viewpoints before reaching Tanah Lot temple in late afternoon. Allow an hour to explore the temple complex and surrounding area before settling in to watch light fade over the ocean. The return journey to your hotel takes roughly ninety minutes.

Good to know

Wear comfortable walking shoes for uneven forest and temple terrain. Entry fees to sites are not included—budget accordingly. Bring sunscreen and a hat. The drive involves regular stops but isn't strenuous; however, those with back problems, pregnancy, or heart conditions should reconsider.
