What to expect
You'll spend the morning and afternoon moving between four key sites, with your driver navigating the roads while explaining Balinese temple symbolism and history. Expect roughly 30–40 minutes of driving between stops. At Tanah Lot, you'll walk down to the temple perched on its rock outcrop; wear sturdy shoes as paths are steep and can be slippery. Jatiluwih offers sweeping views and a few quiet walking spots among the paddies. The pace is leisurely—there's time to photograph, sit, and absorb the landscape. Early morning or late afternoon light works best for photos.
Good to know
Bring water and sun protection. Temple entry fees (not included) are minimal. Wear modest clothing—sarongs can be borrowed at temples. Meals aren't provided; eat before you go or discuss stops with your driver. Suitable for all fitness levels, though there is some walking and uneven terrain.
