About this tour
Spend eight hours rattling through Burgundy's vineyard-studded landscape in a lovingly restored 2CV, guided by a wine specialist who'll decode what makes each terroir distinct. You'll taste across the hierarchy—Village, Premier Cru, Grand Cru—directly from growers, learn to read a wine's nose and its label, then picnic amongst the vines with local bottles and proper food. A sensory deep-dive into why this corner of France matters so much to wine.

What to expect
You'll meet at the start point and climb into your assigned 2CV—expect wind in your hair and narrow country roads rather than motorways. The morning unfolds as a blend of driving and stops: your guide will pull over to explain plot history, soil composition, and why adjacent parcels taste completely different. By mid-morning you'll enter a working vineyard for the first tasting, tasting three distinct bottles whilst standing where the grapes grew. After a historic monument visit (Hospices or Château), you'll settle into your picnic spot—blankets, local charcuterie, cheese, bread, water—with a second vineyard tasting nearby or back at the vineyard itself. The afternoon includes a structured olfactory session, learning to identify primary scents in young wines.
Good to know
Bring a valid driving licence if you want to take turns at the wheel. The tour suits all fitness levels but involves getting in and out of low-slung 2CVs repeatedly. Food intolerances can't always be accommodated, so flag these early. Gratuities aren't included. Dress for changeable weather; the convertible means no roof.
