What to expect

This is a proper walk—comfortable shoes are non-negotiable. You'll climb steadily but not steeply to the castle hilltop, where a waterfall and viewing platforms open onto the sea. The pace follows the group; expect stops to absorb the architecture, smell the flower markets, and let the guide point out the bones of Nice's history. Narrow lanes mean single-file moments. Good to know

Bring sturdy walking shoes—the cobbles and incline demand them. No food or drinks included, so plan a café stop in the old town. Strollers work on flat sections but won't manage the castle climb. Service animals welcome. Not suitable if cardiovascular fitness is limited.
