Walks Producers in Citroen 2cv

3 hours📍 France

About this tour

Explore regional producers via iconic Citroën 2CV, a three-hour circuit combining vintage motoring with visits to working farms. Choose between a shellfish operation, honey producer, or aromatic plant grower, each offering hands-on insight into their craft. You'll drive the quirky French car yourself through the countryside, stopping to chat directly with farmers and sample their goods. Available April through October depending on the producer.

Highlights

  • Drive a classic Citroën 2CV through farmland
  • Visit working shellfish farm, apiary, or herb grower
  • Meet producers and learn their methods firsthand
  • Sample fresh regional products on-site
  • Suitable for all fitness levels and abilities
  • Small group format, family-friendly

What to expect

You'll collect your 2CV and head out into the countryside to reach your chosen producer. The drive itself is half the experience—these cars are slow, open, and delightfully noisy. Once there, expect a genuine working environment, not a polished visitor centre. The farmer or producer will walk you through their operation: how oysters are farmed in water beds, how bees are managed and honey extracted, or how herbs are grown and harvested. There's time to ask questions and usually a chance to taste or purchase products. The whole outing takes three hours including the drive.

Good to know

You drive the 2CV yourself (manual transmission assumed). Petrol costs extra. Departures vary by producer: shellfish farm runs Tuesday–Friday at 2pm; honey tours Friday mornings July–September; aromatic plants Saturday mornings April–October. All venues are wheelchair accessible.
