What to expect

You'll depart for Coral Bay and spend several hours on the water with a crew scanning for whale shark activity. When spotted, you'll enter the water in small groups to observe these filter feeders up close—they're curious but entirely harmless. Between swims, relax on deck with refreshments. The pace alternates between searching, swimming, and recovery time. Expect sun exposure, salt water, and the physical effort of repeated entries and exits. Your guides will brief you on behaviour and safety before each encounter.

Good to know

Moderate fitness required for water entry and swimming. Poor cardiovascular health not recommended. Additional Parks and Wildlife fee ($20 adult/$10 child) payable before departure. Bring sunscreen, towel, and reef-safe products.
